A true story of discovery, transformation and growth – how curiosity leads to personal and professional fulfillment

This book tells some of my key life experiences, stories and adventures from childhood into maturity through curiosity, self-leadership, leading others, and continuous learning. I share some of my personal discoveries, failures, and successes from a life’s journey that has taken me around the world, from Europe to Oceania, from America to Asia, meeting and impacting thousands of people across a myriad of cultures.

Even though this book tells my story, it’s not only about me; it is about how my experiences and lessons learned can resonate with your reality and how you can see yourself being transformed through your own thoughts and actions inspired by my story.

These experiences throughout my life journey are brought to you in chronological order. Therefore, I suggest you read each chapter in order to better understand each stage of the evolution which led me to reflect on the themes that each chapter focuses on.
I have crafted coaching questions at the end of each chapter and a key takeaway space for you to take notes and carry your own personal learnings and takeaways forward.

Jose’s book is a true gem: a life lesson story on growth, learning, resilience, adaptation, diversity, healthy ambition and maturity. His leadership reflections and lived experiences narrated are universal and very humane, worth reading for adults of all ages and cultures. I find them eye-opening and they resonate in many instances with my own life, since we are both Spanish, servant leadership advocates, and left our country at a young age the same year (2005) to follow our respective dreams: In my case to play professional basketball in the U.S. at the NBA, where I spent 14 years competing at the highest level in different teams.
